Envision yourself humiliated when your granddaughter tells you she is embarrassed by your looks after you have gone to great lengths to look your best for her wedding. That is exactly what happened to the grandma in this story. After going through what she did, she has no idea how to manage family gatherings. What did she do after the wedding? Who is she to deal with all this? Keep reading to discover.

This is her narrative.
I normally skip the cosmetics and the expensive gowns now that I'm 70 years old. However, I yearned for a sense of self-confidence when my grandchild extended an invitation to her wedding. I splurged on a beautiful gown, hairstyle, and cosmetics application. When I arrived, everybody were gazing, even though I felt I looked dazzling.

Caught red-handed, my humiliated granddaughter drew me aside. You look stupid, grandma," she added in an uncomfortable tone. Something has to give. Everything seemed to have come crashing down around me. I broke down and fled in tears instead of remaining.

She later sent an apology over phone. The bride's anxiety, she added, had caused her to behave irrationally. I don't know if I can ever forgive her; in fact, I am so embarrassed that I can't even fathom attending any more family events.
